"Lucky 7"

Hi,

there are two very important point for you here today. First let me cover that strange subject line...

Recently I was asked why so many websites sell products or services with the sell price ending in the number 7.

I'll use UK Sterling for this particular example although it doesn't matter what currency you use...

For example, prices like: £17 £57 £97 or even £197.77 etc!

Now in my mind there are several reasons why this is:

1. A price looks better at $19.99 than say an even $20 because the phycological trigger in the minds doesn't register the 99p it just sees the "19".

I'm sure you know this already. However...

2. The other reason is that an odd number like 99 or 97 looks like the seller has put some logic in to the pricing instead of just "rounding up" the pricing.

However the simple reason and fact remains that you see the number seven so often in both online and direct mail/response marketing is for one reason.

(And it's nothing to do with the "lucky Seven" factor!)

The reason is: number seven has PROVEN in TESTS to be the best converting figure.

Now I don't make the rules I just work here...and who am I to argue with the giants of this business who have literally tested these kind of thing to death? Literally millions of times!

You may not agree with this thinking but this is one of those occasions where you'll have to trust me :o)

I guess I'm saying you don't need to be a trail blazer in this business, after all those are usually the guys with the arrows in their backs...

Okay on to the final piece of news today (Phew! At last eh? ;o)

About 7 weeks ago I mentioned that I was opening up my "Private One to One Coaching" club again.

Well I'm happy to say that at 7am the doors opened.

However I only have 7 places left!
